this doing a searh for riding areas near Cloudcroft (am now a Texan...
don't hold it against me). What a blast from the past! A couple of
comments ... You had a picture of Gene at Volcano Cliffs with the comment
that you thought he won that day. C'mon, you know he won that day... he
won everyday! A picture of George in his underware, downright
FRIGHTNING!!! And, how did you manage all those pics from that era and not
a one of my bro!!! FALTA REPLICA ... it's just good to say! Not sure I
agree with you on the Maico thing. Only raced one once, a 450 I think.
CIRCA 1985, it was George's and about 8 years old and he thought it would
be funny if I rode it in the open class at Gallup. It was, I won the first
moto and while leading the second moto the chain broke on the last lap. Oh
well... George got a kick out of it. DEM WAS SOME DAMN GOOD

| Howdy Wes and all you scooter beaters--
looks like we have sold our digs in the Sacramento area ( need to take
advantage of the insane w/$$) and get out of the Land of the Fruits and
Nuts and get back to the desert. Having a shack built in desert outside of
Tucson, ( I have been told lots of good riding out West> plan on doing
the move mid June. What really sucks is looking at the calendar and saying
" where did those 60 years go??" and what do I want to be doing in 10
years if I make it to 70?? well not thie same old shit I have been doing
for the last 24 years I have been in this cow-town. All the mowers,
tractors and implements and trucks have been sold, the go-karts are gone
and the track has been plowed under. A simpler live is near. Still plan on
Colorado at the end of August, ( and it was real good to revisit the past
with Steve Dougherty l;ast year what a great guy, maybe this year again we
can do some trail tilling, and maybe Wes and some of the 'Original Wild
Boyz" will be there, I hope so. That is an invite , Wes!! I will get back
to you with the new e-mail address and keep it close to the hammer. See ya

| Hello Wes and fellow MX / dirt bike freaks,
I hope this message greets all of you in good enough health to throw a leg
over that 2 wheeled whore- we know as a " scooter". The rains have finally
slowed down out here where we can get in some riding with out too many
snow drifts and major water crossings. Wes sorry you had a problem with
the old guest book ther are a lot of good stories there. I did sell of the
old scooters and all the old CZ stuff, sorry bout that needed some jack
and some room in the shop. We all had a great ride last August in Gunnison
with The Rat Man, The Demon, Happy Guy, The Skin Doctor, Stoney, Franklin
Johnson,Donkey Man, Mr Dakota, Shaq , and the Brown Guy. We pounded some
aluminum and q'd some meat and had some humor. Plan on it again the end of
Aug '03. Plan on talking to the Spitter and The lunchbox as well as
Chicken Leg. Don't know about BigFoot or the Left Hand. All else os good and look forward to hearing from some of the old crowd. As always Chain Lube is for chains-- not WD-40, get a clue.. See ya on the trail JIM |
